Position Summary:

Service

FM LLC is seeking a dependable, detail‑oriented Custodian to join our team in Franklin. This role supports church facilities in the Franklin downtown area, helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for visitors and staff. Duties include cleaning offices, classrooms, restrooms, and common areas.

• Perform daily custodial duties, including:
• Sweeping, mopping (wet and dry), dusting, and vacuuming
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas
• Two buildings, the first is the main sanctuary, offices, and meeting rooms. Across the street is a smaller building with meeting rooms, offices, a kitchen, and restrooms.
• Emptying trash and picking up debris from the floors and grounds
• Cleaning interior windows and doors
• Event setup and breakdown (e.g., furniture moves, event setups & teardowns)
• Floor and carpet maintenance
• Secure all buildings at the end of each shift and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Support weekend cleaning for scheduled events

Work Schedule
Part‑time: ~24 hours/week,
Day shifts
, 8 hours/day, 3 days/week.

• Typical schedule:
  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (30 minutes unpaid lunch break)

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred
• Consistent and reliable attendance, with strong punctuality
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours as needed
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Physically capable of performing labor‑intensive tasks, including walking, bending,
• stretching, lifting up to 50 pounds, pulling, and pushing
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic, professionalism, and customer service mindset
• Works well independently and as part of a team
• Able to accurately track and log work hours using a smartphone or mobile device

• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, twist, reach, pull, and push as needed throughout the shift.
• Operate cleaning equipment and perform repetitive hand/arm motions.
• Work indoors and outdoors under varied environmental conditions.

• PTO (paid time off): 1 week proportionally per year accrual
• Semesterial (every 6 months) Custodian Incentives bonus (opportunity to earn up to an extra $0.55/per hour on incentives)
