Position SummaryThe Store Manager is a multifaceted leadership role responsible for cultivating and facilitating the values of Five Daughters Bakery among the Sales Team. This individual will lead, train, coach, develop, and support team members while creating a welcoming and positive environment for both employees and customers.
As a member of the Leadership Team, the Store Manager will help carry out the vision and goals of Five Daughters Bakery while supporting the implementation of new products, systems, processes, and initiatives.
Responsibilities and Duties- Serve as the leader and primary point of contact for the Sales Team.
- Hire, onboard, train, schedule, and oversee Sales Team members.
- Motivate and develop team members to meet sales and customer service objectives.
- Conduct performance reviews, evaluations, and promotional interviews.
- Plan and facilitate Sales Team meetings and events.
- Foster a positive team culture and support employee morale and engagement.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract new customers, increase store traffic, and enhance profitability.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Address customer complaints and concerns professionally and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and company regulations.
- Oversee the overall appearance and wellness of the store, including displays, product integrity, cleanliness, and maintenance needs.
- Manage store administrative responsibilities, including budgets, costs, and financial records.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate regularly with the Inventory Specialist.
- Prepare reports related to buying trends, customer needs, sales, and profitability.
- Forecast daily product needs and monitor inventory spoilage and waste.
- Maintain accountability for labor and cost of goods sold (COGS) as they relate to the Sales Team and storefront operations.
- Participate in weekly leadership meetings regarding the overall performance and needs of the store and team.
- Review special orders daily and communicate any necessary adjustments or preparation needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years of retail experience; leadership or management experience preferred.
- Customer service-oriented with a strong understanding of basic business and operational processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Google Workspace and Excel or similar spreadsheet programs.
- Highly organized, efficient, and self-motivated.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to address conflict constructively, respond to concerns professionally, and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
- Full-time availability with flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
