Role

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that their team meets all established objectives while respecting quality standards, delivery schedules, and maintaining a safe and harmonious work environment. They plan, organize, and control logistics activities while leading a team in alignment with company policies and management strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Know and comply at all times with applicable quality and food safety standards
    , occupational health and safety regulations

  • Ensure that each employee performs their work optimally and in accordance with training, procedures, regulations, and company policies;

  • Provide replacements for positions under their responsibility when needed;

  • Assign and supervise tasks and employees under their responsibility, ensuring efficiency and alignment with business needs;

  • Ensure the availability of materials and resources required to achieve logistics objectives;

  • Meet established deadlines;

  • Inspect the facilities daily to ensure cleanliness and safety, apply corrective actions when needed, and follow up accordingly;

  • Implement continuous improvement processes established by the company;

  • Create departmental requests in the ERP system
    ;

  • Continuously seek ways to improve efficiency within the department;

  • Coordinate and ensure the training of employees regarding job tasks, safety standards, and company policies;

  • Ensure employees fully understand their roles and responsibilities related to operations, quality, and workplace health and safety;

  • Evaluate employees based on attendance, work quality, attitude, and established standards and objectives;

  • Develop individual development plans to support employee performance improvement;

  • Maintain up‑to‑date personnel files and follow up with employees as required;

  • Coach employees to improve departmental efficiency;

  • Maintain a positive work environment focused on teamwork;

  • Manage interpersonal and group conflicts effectively and respectfully;

  • Ensure that staff comply with safety standards, procedures, and company policies and demonstrate expected behavior;

  • In the event of a major or minor workplace accident, complete an accident report, communicate with the health and safety committee representative on duty, and participate in the investigation;

  • Ensure attendance and punctuality of supervised employees;

  • Intervene when employee performance is unsatisfactory and apply disciplinary measures as needed;

  • Serve as a technical resource for employees;

  • Communicate effectively with the immediate supervisor regarding departmental activities and results;

  • Communicate organizational expectations to the team regarding attendance, quality, attitude, and production standards;

  • Inform employees of assigned tasks and associated goals;

  • Communicate company procedures, directives, and policies and ensure they are well understood;

  • Act as a representative of the employer;

  • Lead efficient and productive team meetings;

  • Motivate the team by recognizing good work and providing constructive feedback;

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with other supervisors and departments.
