Product Designer - Tennessee

Job Summary The Product Designer primary responsibility is developing new Product/ideas through customer / project scopes. Interpret and convert our customer’s product specifications, technical drawings into information that is usable to produce a prototype. You will work together with our engineering, quality and production teams to help lead new product through all aspects of its production life.

Job Responsibilities Develop new product concepts based on customer and project requirements

Taking part in daily, specialized and multidisciplinary team meetings.

Design, model and test prototypes. Use CAD to design concepts.

Meeting with customers to go over new/existing design criteria and function. Travel may be required as per customer location.

Accountable for producing/updating drawings, instructions and specifications to produce each product. (Documenting/photographing)
Work in our operating system

Working overtime or longer hours maybe required to meet customer/production deadlines.

Job Skills and Qualifications Experience in the canvas, awning, or marine manufacturing industry

Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Associate’s degree preferred

Related on-job experience - 3 years.

Vocational school training

CAD, Solid Works Design/Drawing software

Digitizer/Plotter classes or related experience
