Continental Shift C is rotating Day Shift (5:30 am - 6:00 pm) in two‑week cycles, 48 hours the first week and 36 hours the following week

Pay: Minimum of $27.79/hour

Primary Function

APCOM’s facility in Franklin, Tennessee, manufactures electric thermostats, pipe nipples, dip tubes, elements, and burner assemblies. The Multi‑Craft Maintenance Technician Shift C will perform preventative, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on industrial equipment with a strong emphasis on electrical controls and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to production work orders to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing & facility equipment including fabrication, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, PLC and robotic processes.
  • Assist Multi‑Craft Maintenance Technicians on electrical control, motion control, Vision Camera, robotic and PLC equipment.
  • Primary PM focus on electrical cabinets, PLC/Robot/Drive Backups.
  • Become familiar with APCOM’s product specifications and quality standards, assist in development and upkeep of operating procedures for process and equipment, review each line for quality, and work with the Quality department to train employees to identify quality problems.
  • Complete all work orders related in a timely manner.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required;
    Journeyman or similar certification or degree preferred.
  • Five years of experience in responsibilities mentioned above.
  • Must possess a complete set of maintenance tools.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, PLC’s and robotics.
  • SAP experience preferred.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Trade School Degree
Physical Requirements
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel‑toe shoes/boots, ear and eye protection.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and frequent bending and reaching.
  • Employee must walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; and talk or hear.
  • Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds, with assistance.
  • Employee frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
