Job Description
AECOM is seeking an experienced and dedicated Tennessee Transportation Leader to join our team, specifically focused on managing our relationship portfolio in the State of Tennessee, with the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) as well as municipal clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding the unique needs and priorities of our government client, facilitating effective communication, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects and services that align with our client's goals.
This role requires a deep understanding of TDOT as well as Tennessee transportation policies, procedures, and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact between our organization and the Tennessee Department of Transportation, fostering a strong and collaborative partnership.
Develop an in-depth understanding of the Department's transportation objectives, initiatives, and challenges to provide tailored solutions and services.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the accurate interpretation and execution of the Department's requirements and expectations.
Facilitate regular meetings and communication channels with the client at multiple levels to review project progress, address concerns, and gather feedback.
Manage the successful delivery of projects by aligning AECOM’s global resources and ensuring resources adhere to local transportation regulations, safety standards, and contractual obligations.
Monitor the Department's needs and trends within the transportation industry, providing insights and recommendations for strategic initiatives.
Identify opportunities for expanding the scope of services offered to the Department and collaborate with sales teams to develop proposals.
Coordinate with technical teams to ensure that solutions align with the Department's goals and regulatory requirements.
Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for AECOM leadership highlighting project status, key sales metrics, and areas for improvement.
Lead efforts to resolve any escalated issues or disputes in a diplomatic and timely manner, collaborating with internal teams to find solutions.
