Production Assembler, United States – (Ooltewah, TN, Onsite)
The Mining and Infrastructure Attachments division is a global leader in developing, manufacturing, and marketing hydraulic attachment tools, ground engaging tools, and infrastructure battery-powered hand tools and attachments. Our products serve diverse industries including mining, construction, infrastructure, demolition, and recycling.
In this role, your mission and responsibilities will be:Under the supervision of the Assembly Supervisor and/or the Group Leader, the Production Assembler is responsible for operating and maintaining assembly equipment in a safe and efficient manner to achieve the quality and production standards of the company.
- Read, interpret, and understand blueprints to complete job assignments.
- Use hand tools, clamps, and grinders to perform job tasks.
- Adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies, and practices.
- Any other duties that fall within the employee’s capabilities.
- Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling can be expected.
- Long periods of sitting and walking can also be expected in this position.
- Use of basic tools and equipment.
- Occasional exposure to typical manufacturing areas may be required and will require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection.
- Team member must be mobile enough to navigate the manufacturing shop floor safely, including walking and standing for up to four hours at a time.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in heavy duty machining/manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read tape measure and blueprints.
- Ability to read and understand work order routings and instructions.
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, problem solving skills, and interpersonal skills.
