Job Summary
Responsible for the set‑up and assembling of advanced lighting systems consistent with production requirements and quality specifications.
Responsibilities- Aligns, fits, and assembles components into completed units using hand tools, power tools, fixtures and templates following instructions, both written (process sheets) or verbal.
- Inspects parts for defects; makes modifications as needed in accordance with engineering specifications.
- Works in a positive/results oriented manner in order to get the job done under minimal supervision, always being viewed as open, ethical, and trustworthy.
- Works in a highly collaborative manner with others to pursue department/company goals.
- Effectively utilizes available resources, technology, and tools to complete work.
- Understands and complies with all company policies and procedures as well as additional legal regulatory requirements.
- Actively participates in operational problem solving/quality improvement activities.
- Properly follows all safety procedures and policies to include ESD guidelines.
- Efficiently prioritizes and performs job requirements and activities based on open communication with the Supervisor and others.
- Assist with the movement of material as required following proper procedures and safety practices.
- HS diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- 6+ month’s assembly experience
Work is performed in a climate‑controlled production assembly environment working under normal production conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, caustic chemicals, and the risk of electric shock. It is therefore necessary to adhere to all established safety guidelines/procedures.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear; the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 50 pounds.
