Assistant Manager- Metal Stamping Facility

Job Description

Topre America is seeking a C Shift Assistant Manager (Friday, Saturday, & Sunday 6:00- 18:30)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with team and support groups to decrease process scrap and changeover times
• Decrease downtime and increase strokes per hour
• Increase productivity and efficiencies
• Follow and attain the production schedule
• Determine staffing requirements to meet schedule needs
• Manage human and material resources to meet production targets
• Make decisions regarding equipment use, maintenance and modification
• Create and implement standard operating procedures for production operations (and ensure procedures are followed)
• Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
• Determine and implement improvements to the production process
• Track daily stamping performance and document benchmarking data to drive continuous improvement actions
• Execute production plans and confirm accuracy of production operation
• Prepare weekly production reports and facilitate communication of manufacturing achievements
• Assist trouble-shooting in issues affecting daily production

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing Processes (Kaizen)
• Previous Press Stamping experience
• Understanding of Dies and Tooling
• Professional experience or education in basic computer fundamentals
• Knowledge and familiarity with concepts, practices and procedures on the use of multi-ton presses
• Strong verbal, written and analytical skills
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and employees

Credentials

• High School Diploma/GED equivalent
• Certificate (from industry accredited program)
• Minimum 5 years Automotive Manufacturing Stamping Experience
• Minimum 5 years Manufacturing Supervisory or Management Experience

Special Requirements

• Overtime work required as necessary on week days, weekend and holidays
• Some strenuous lifting required - 35 lbs to 50 lbs
• Must be able to work any day and night shift schedules as needed
