** This position starts at $23.80/hr. with a shift increase for second and third shift and potential for overtime.  We have open positions for first shift.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Set up equipment in preparation for startup, and responsible for operating case packer, while also being able to adhere to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Set up equipment in preparation for startup, and responsible for the running the KP machines, while also adhering to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies.
* Set up V-Mag stuffer/grinder and KP machines.
* Move empty racks into position for loading and loading logs onto racks.
* Send out correct diameters of slicing logs to freezer.
* Chang film as needed.
* Identify and stripping out defective logs.
* Drain water from bottom of KP and inspecting equipment.
* Set up and breaking down grinders.
* Record condition of grinder plates on grinder inspection sheets and turning in to lead/supervisor.
* Inform QA and Production Supervisor in the event of issues with equipment/grinder or raw materials.
* Informs and assists Maintenance persons in identifying and correcting problems with machines.
* Performs PM’s on equipment in assigned Department.

REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
* Basic Math Skills and ability to become certified in Lock Out tag Out Program.
* Must be willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
* Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours.
* Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
* Must be willing and able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to bending, twisting, reaching, standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
* ** Must have a minimum of 6 months cumulative industrial maintenance experience or equivalent training.
*** Must be willing and able to pinch/grip product and place into specified location.
* ** Must have 6 MThs continuous employment in the last 18 months. Preferred candidates will have at least 6 MThs of relevant machine operator, warehouse, agriculture or production experience.**
