Manager, Program & Training coordinates the operational functions that support NAMI Tennessee’s statewide education, support, and outreach programs. This role oversees training logistics, presentation coordination, data management, and program administration to ensure consistent and effective program delivery. Serving as a key link across program areas, the position supports collaboration, maintains program systems and documentation, and helps execute trainings, presentations, and statewide initiatives.

Through strong organization and process improvement, the Manager strengthens NAMI Tennessee’s capacity to expand programs and serve communities across Tennessee.

This role will support the training execution and coordination for NAMI programs to include:
Family-to-Family, Support groups, In Our Own Voice, Ending the Silence, Family & Friends, CIT, and others as assigned. A description of these programs can be found on nami.org.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with staff, volunteers and community partners
  • Willingness to learn in areas in which prior knowledge may not exist.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing schedules for multiple programs and departments.
  • Experience scheduling and facilitating meetings in person and virtually through Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Experience maintaining accurate program records, databases, and documentation.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and report program data to support organizational goals and grant requirements.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience developing and improving administrative processes to increase efficiency and consistency.
  • Ability to prepare reports, presentations, meeting materials, and correspondence in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across departments and program areas.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
