The Major Gift Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Franklin, TN, responsible for building and managing relationships with current and prospective major donors. This role includes developing individualized cultivation and stewardship plans, conducting donor meetings, and presenting funding opportunities aligned with K-LOVE’s mission and strategic priorities. The Major Gift Officer will collaborate with internal teams to prepare proposals, impact reports, and donor communications, and ensure accurate documentation of all interactions in donor management systems.

Day-to-day activities involve prospect identification, portfolio management, gift solicitation, and participation in events or gatherings designed to deepen donor engagement. The role works closely with leadership and development colleagues to meet annual revenue goals and support long-term philanthropic growth.

• Demonstrated expertise in Planned Giving and Philanthropy, with the ability to guide donors through complex giving opportunities.
• Experience in Annual Giving programs, including managing donor portfolios and supporting campaign strategies.
• Strong skills in Prospect Research to identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential major donors.
• Background in Alumni Relations or similar relationship-based fundraising, with a focus on engagement and stewardship.
• Proven track record of securing major gifts and meeting fundraising goals in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage donors from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficiency with donor management or CRM systems and standard office productivity tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business, or similar) or equivalent professional experience.
• Alignment with K-LOVE’s mission and values, and comfort working in a faith-oriented environment.
