Job Title: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC) — Locum Tenens

Location: Southwestern Tennessee — Onsite

An independent physician network based in Southwestern Tennessee is seeking experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (Locum Tenens) to support coverage for a newly expanded 74-bed Level IV NICU and Special Care Nursery (SCN) within a nationally ranked children’s hospital in Tennessee. This is an onsite, temporary assignment supporting ongoing clinical operations and staffing needs.

What you will be doing
  • Provide onsite neonatal advanced practice coverage with rotating 12- and 24-hour shifts in an academic setting alongside residents
  • Deliver comprehensive patient management in collaboration with the care team, including:
    • patient assessment and diagnosis
    • treatment plan development
    • clinical and surgical procedures within scope
    • medication ordering and prescriptive management
    • documentation and care coordination
    • discharge planning
What you must have
  • Active Tennessee APRN license (or willingness to obtain)
  • MSN degree or higher
  • Board Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC)
  • Tennessee Prescriptive Authority (or eligibility)
  • Knowledge of OSHA and FDA regulations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications
  • 2+ years NNP experience in a busy Level IV NICU
  • Interest in working within an academic/teaching environment
  • Experience managing patients from admission through discharge
