About the Role
North Franklin Internal Medicine & Pediatrics and Cool Springs Internal Medicine & Pediatrics are looking for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team. The provider will excel in our urgent care/walk‑in clinics while ensuring quality care for a diverse patient population.
HoursFull‑Time (3 days a week, 7:45 AM – 6:00 PM)
Responsibilities- Perform complete physical exams, obtain medical histories, and record findings.
- Maintain and review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information.
- Order and, as appropriate, perform laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
- Determine preliminary diagnoses and therapeutic plans by interpreting and integrating data.
- Post tests and examination results as appropriate.
- Instruct patients/families regarding medications, treatments, health and illness prevention, and recommend community resources.
- Assist physicians in managing acute and long‑term medical needs of patients.
- Provide monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.
- Triage nursing and family telephone calls and provide consultation.
Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.
ExperienceMinimum of three years of prior patient‑care experience in a clinic setting, with a preference for two years of APN or PA experience.
Certification / LicenseCurrently licensed as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of Tennessee—or a current Physician Assistant licensed to practice in Tennessee.
