The Float Medical Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse will provide and coordinate care for patients and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families.

• Assess and reassess patients, develop individualized plans of care, and administer medications.
• Document care and educate patients and families.
• Maintain equipment and communicate patient needs.
• Perform patient rounds to maximize patient satisfaction and quality standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care appropriate to patient ages.
• Promote customer service initiatives.
• Utilize nursing processes for individual care to meet patient needs.
• Perform technical skills and procedures as required.

• Minimum of 1 year med/surg experience.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current licensure by the Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Pursue and complete Med‑Surg certification within 1 year from date of hire.
