The Float Medical‑Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse will provide and coordinate care for patients. The nurse is responsible for collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Daily responsibilities include assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of equipment, and communication of patient needs.

• Perform patient rounding to maximize patient satisfaction and quality standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages served as per Scope of Service.
• Promote customer service initiatives.
• Utilize the nursing process for individual care to meet the needs of patients.
• Demonstrate ability to perform technical skills and procedures.

• Minimum of 1 year medical/surgical experience.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current licensure by the Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Pursue and complete Med‑Surg certification within 1 year from date of hire.
