Job SummaryNephrology Associates is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care across clinic, dialysis centers, and hospital settings
.
This role offers a strong balance of autonomy and physician collaboration
, managing patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and end-stage renal disease (ESRD).
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients under established clinical protocols
- Order, interpret, and follow up on labs and diagnostic tests
- Develop and manage individualized patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on CKD, ESRD, and treatment options
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Manage hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients
- Treat ESRD-related complications (anemia, hypertension, electrolyte imbalance, bone disease)
- Participate in monthly care plan meetings
- Support dialysis staff and ensure continuity of care
- Manage CKD patients (Stages 1–5) with a focus on slowing disease progression
- Provide inpatient support for nephrology patients
- Coordinate care with external providers and facilities
- Licensed, Registered Nurse (RN), Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Tennessee (or eligible)
- Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program, Master's or above Educational Level
- Current National Certification: AANP/ANCC/FNP
- BLS or ACLS certification required
- 1+ year of clinical experience preferred (nephrology experience a plus)
- If Prescribing Drugs, DEA Certification is required.
