Registered Nurse - PACU

Role Overview: Provides specialized nursing care in the immediate postoperative/post anesthesia period, assessing, communicating, and documenting patient status in the PACU. Supervises healthcare staff such as PCTs, CNAs, MAs, and LPNs, reporting to the Clinical Director.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, an active RN license, and at least one year of PACU or ICU experience. CPR certification is mandatory; ACLS and PALS are preferred. Prior ASC experience is advantageous.

• develops and implements individualized care plans
• monitors patient progress
• communicates changes to medical staff
• ensures patient comfort, privacy, and dignity
• performs postoperative assessments
• reviews discharge instructions
• manages medication reconciliation and patient education
• maintains inventory of supplies and equipment

• Ability to collaborate with team members, make decisions, solve problems, and promote a positive facility image.
• Physically capable of performing patient care activities, including lifting and quick response to patient needs.
