Remote Emergency Medicine NP/PA – Telehealth Night Shift
Remote | 12-Hour Night Shifts | PRN, Part-Time or Full-Time

Rhino Medical is seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for an ongoing, fully remote telehealth opportunity supporting correctional healthcare facilities.

This is a phone-based emergency consultation and triage role. Facilities have clinicians onsite providing direct patient care. When an acute presentation requires additional clinical input, the onsite team contacts the remote NP/PA for consultation and assistance determining whether the patient can be safely managed onsite or should be transferred to an Emergency Department.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced ER NP or PA who wants to continue using their emergency medicine judgment in a fully remote setting.

Schedule

• 12-hour overnight shifts
• Coverage available 7 nights per week
• PRN, part-time and full-time options
• Flexible scheduling
• No minimum monthly commitment
• Must remain available and responsive throughout scheduled shifts
• Weekly guaranteed pay for scheduled shifts

Responsibilities

• Provide phone-based emergency medicine consultation to onsite healthcare professionals
• Review acute patient presentations with onsite clinical staff
• Provide clinical triage and disposition guidance
• Help determine whether patients can remain onsite or require Emergency Department transfer
• Communicate clear, timely recommendations to onsite clinicians
• Apply Emergency Department experience to remote acute-care decision-making

What This Role Does Not Require

• No prescribing responsibilities
• DEA not required
• No specialized telehealth platform
• No travel or onsite coverage

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Substantial Emergency Department experience required
• Strong emergency assessment, triage and disposition experience
• Comfortable making timely acute-care recommendations remotely
• Strong clinician-to-clinician communication skills
• Active, unrestricted state license
• Multiple active state licenses strongly preferred
• Correctional healthcare experience is helpful but not required

Multi-State Licensure Highly Valued

This program supports correctional facilities across multiple states. Providers with several active licenses can support a broader portion of the network and are particularly encouraged to apply.
