The Program Guide - Activities at Southall Farm & Inn is a guest-facing experience leader responsible for delivering safe, engaging, and memorable outdoor activities. This role ensures that every guest interaction reflects warmth, professionalism, and a deep knowledge of the land, programming, and the resort’s brand story. Program Guides are ambassadors of the property, contributing to the overall guest journey through adventure programming, group activities, and luxury service standards.
Responsibilities- Lead and facilitate daily activities, tours, and specialty programming (e.g., aerial ropes, archery, fly fishing, hiking, mountain biking, team building)
- Provide exceptional, personalized guest service during all experiences
- Ensure all safety procedures and operational standards are followed
- Conduct daily equipment checks and maintain program materials
- Assist with setup and breakdown of programming locations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of activity spaces
- Communicate clearly with leadership regarding guest needs, safety concerns, and operational updates
- Support cross-training initiatives to assist in multiple activity offerings including apiary tours and bee related activities
- Contribute to a positive team culture and uphold luxury hospitality standards
- Create engaging, educational, and memorable experiences
- Anticipate guest needs and personalize interactions when possible
- Represent the resort with professionalism, enthusiasm, and confidence
- Maintain strong knowledge of property history, sustainability initiatives, and programming offerings
- Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- No known allergy to honeybee stings
- Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and solution-based attitude
- Some guest-facing experience preferred
- Must pass a background check
- Valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or certifications in Recreation, Hospitality, or Outdoor Leadership preferred.
