Job DescriptionAs a Commercial Escrow Officer, you will be working alongside a team of title professionals and underwriters with decades of combined experience closing complex commercial real estate transactions. Your role will be instrumental in navigating the complexities of commercial real estate transactions.
Duties- Process escrow transactions directed by real estate agents, brokers, attorneys or parties to the transaction, such as the buyer or seller.
- Follow the instructions in the Purchase and Sale Agreement, lender's instructions, title underwriting requirements, Company requirements and other written instructions.
- Ensure that all pertinent matters in the Preliminary Commitment have been addressed, such as payoffs on all Deeds of Trust or any other liens on the property and make sure that any non-monetary matters such as clouds on the title, divorce, probates, or land use classifications are addressed and handled.
- Prepare the necessary documents to close the transaction.
- Perform or arrange for the signing of the documents with the seller and buyer.
- Ensure that funds are properly and timely disbursed at closing.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the title/escrow field.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
- Depth of experience in the escrow industry, preferably at least 3 years.
- Detail oriented and professional; able to handle confidential information.
- Ability to juggle many duties and meet multiple deadlines.
- High level of stress tolerance and emotional resilience; ability to maintain an even disposition in the face of conflict or in a crisis.
- Strong energy and drive; self-starting, strong work ethic and work habits, accountable for one's own actions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to build collaborative relationships with co-workers and the parties to the transaction.
- Ability to produce a high volume of work accurately on a consistent basis.
- Good team player; willing to reach out to other staff to assist; willing to accept help from others when needed.
- Office-based in Franklin, TN and Louisville, KY with dedicated parking and an exceptional team environment.
- Occasional overtime may be required to meet transaction deadlines.
