What you'll do
  • Provides member service.
  • Maintains the checkout area.
  • Resolves member issues and concerns.
  • Promotes Sam's Club products and services.
  • Provides guidance and support to members regarding self-service technology.
  • Processes member purchases, including payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types.
  • Follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps.
  • Follows proper procedures for handling merchandise.
  • Corrects and reports unsafe situations to facility management.
  • Maintains entrance areas, acknowledging members, verifying membership cards, and identifying member needs.
  • Assists members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, and transporting items.
  • Zones and organizes the area, ensuring a safe shopping environment.
  • Maintains exit areas and reviews member receipts.
  • Assists with securing and safeguarding Sam's Club assets and property by observing and communicating potential criminal activity in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.
  • Executes emergency response procedures and ensures compliance with company security and safety practices.
  • Assists with the training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures, teaching new technology and tool functionality, and delivering new programs rollout training.
  • Provides continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
  • Properly handles returns, identifies shrink and damages, and ensures the area of responsibility is maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Implements related action plans to comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, using the Open Door Policy.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carrying out tasks, communicating progress and information, determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
  • Embeds a culture that embraces differences in people, cultures, ideas, and experiences, creating a supportive workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected, and helping to attract the best talent.
