Business Development Executive

Location: Nashville, TN Area

About the Role

We’re looking for a high-energy Business Development Executive who thrives on opening doors and building new relationships. This role is perfect for someone passionate about technology and innovation, eager to learn, and driven by results. You’ll play a key role in generating leads, identifying opportunities, and supporting strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect & Generate Leads:
    Identify and engage target accounts through cold outreach, Linked In networking, referrals, and industry connections.
  • Build Relationships:
    Initiate and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and prospective clients.
  • Support the Sales Process:
    Collaborate with senior sales leaders to assist with discovery meetings, presentations, proposals, and client communications.
  • Market Research & Intelligence:
    Conduct research on target accounts, industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging market opportunities.
  • CRM & Pipeline Management:
    Maintain accurate records of outreach activity, follow-ups, and pipeline stages using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Hub Spot.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Work closely with marketing, delivery, and leadership teams to align messaging and tailor outreach strategies to prospective clients.
Requirements Experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in software services, IT services sales, business development, or B2B sales
  • Previous experience working within a technology consulting or IT services organization
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level accounts, technology solutions, or digital transformation initiatives
  • Experience participating in networking events, conferences, or industry trade shows
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and technology delivery processes
Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Consultative and relationship-focused sales approach
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Tools
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Hub Spot) and sales engagement tools (e.g., Sales Loft, Linked In Sales Navigator)
