Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team in Franklin, TN. This position combines sales, account coordination, and publisher relationship management.
As a Sales Specialist Assistant at , your key responsibilities involve linking publishers, customers, and our internal teams. You will work with different departments to make the sales process seamless and efficient. Your tasks include qualifying inbound leads, maintaining continuous client relationships, and carefully managing each order, while also spotting opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities- Respond promptly to inbound sales inquiries and process bulk book orders.
- Qualify leads by identifying customer needs and recommending the best titles or bulk solutions.
- Price match with competitors to ensure we provide the best value to our customers.
- Proactively follow up with prospects and past clients to drive reorders and new opportunities.
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to improve lead generation and conversion efforts.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for publishers, managing communication and fostering strong relationships.
- Coordinate book availability, bulk pricing, and special order requests.
- Maintain updated records of vendor terms and inventory options to support accurate quoting.
- Accurately enter and process customer orders, ensuring all details (pricing, shipping, payment) are correct.
- Conduct market and pricing comparisons to ensure remains competitively positioned.
- Track in-stock inquiries, shipping timelines, and delivery confirmations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues quickly and effectively.
- Update CRM systems with detailed notes on leads, customer interactions, and follow-up activities.
- Provide feedback on customer trends, popular titles, and opportunities for product or process improvements.
- Support sales forecasts and pipeline tracking by maintaining organized and accurate data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable communicating with both customers and publishers.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace; experience with CRM tools (e.g., Copper, Hub Spot, or Salesforce) is a plus.
- Self-starter with a proactive, positive, and collaborative mindset.
- Experience in publishing, e-commerce, customer service, or sales operations is a plus.
