As the future of Blue Oval SK, you will help lead the battery revolution by working alongside our teams as we build the batteries required for electric vehicle business excellence.
Ford and SK On are investing billions in Kentucky and Tennessee, building three state‑of‑the‑art battery manufacturing facilities across the two campuses at Blue Oval City in Tennessee and Blue Oval SK Battery Park in Kentucky. These brand‑new advanced manufacturing facilities will combine Ford's 100‑years of automobile manufacturing expertise with SK On's 30+ years of electric vehicle battery expertise to become the world's best battery manufacturer.
OpportunityThe Physical Security Specialist at Blue Oval SK will contribute to the overall physical security, including site risk assessments and the management of physical security systems such as cameras, security alarms, access control, and lighting.
Key Responsibilities- Physical security control, ensuring that all employees, contractors, and visitors are safe.
- Implement security and threat management to support the safety and well‑being of employees and physical assets.
- Investigate theft and safety issues utilizing company–provided systems (e.g., CCTV, access control, other data sources).
- Establish and manage security guard work systems.
- Complete any required documentation and report writing.
- Maintain relationships with related agencies.
- Conduct physical security and risk vulnerability inspections, evaluate, and provide recommendations.
- Review facility designs to determine the placement of sensitive materials.
- Develop and evaluate existing security procedures.
- Apply appropriate security standards.
- Greet guests and conduct proper sign‑in procedures.
- 2–5 years of experience working in factory security or a similar industry‑based environment.
- Experience with camera and access control systems.
- Experience managing security teams.
- The ability to build partnerships and influence stakeholders.
- Familiarity with multiple aspects of physical security.
- Industry recognized security certifications.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written (must).
- Security‑based certification a plus (e.g., CPP, PSP, CISSP).
