Electric Technician B
Position Objective: The Electrical Technician is responsible for electrical, electronics, and maintenance of all equipment. Performs other duties as needed.
Qualifications:- Industrial maintenance degree or similar from a state certified technical school or community college is required. Completion of a 4‑year electrical apprenticeship can be substituted.
- Knowledge of basic industrial electrical components – relays, timers, contractors, proximity switches, etc.
- Ability to read multimeters and amp meters.
- Background in industrial electronics and troubleshooting is required.
- Experience with PLC controls and variable speed drives is preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, evenings, and on‑call as needed.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Skill to read blueprints and mechanical drawings is a plus.
- Can work with limited supervision (e.g., night shift).
- Consistent, dependable attendance and willingness to accommodate non‑standard work hours.
- Capable of effectively managing job‑related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
- Troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of basic electrical/electronic equipment including motor start‑stop circuits and 24V‑700V electrical circuits.
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Assist Parts Coordinator in requisition and inventory of tools, spare parts, and equipment.
- Assist Maintenance technician in lubrication and repair of mechanical equipment.
- Maintain all equipment in good running order.
- Ensure job site is clean and free of hazards.
- Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices when running equipment.
- Interact and communicate with Production supervisor during shift and assist on production line when needed.
- Maintain professional certifications and keep updated on procedures and policy changes; keep training up to date.
- Operate all maintenance equipment safely, following LOTO procedures at all times.

- Ability to work in varying temperatures (cold and hot)
