Looking for an experienced Reach Truck Operator (1st Shift) operating CROWN equipment in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Position OverviewPOSITION OVERVIEW The Reach Truck Operator (1st Shift) operates CROWN equipment in a fast-paced distribution environment.
The site operates exclusively on Crown equipment. The 1st shift offers two schedule options: a standard 8-hour Reach-only shift or a 10-hour shift in the replant department requiring both Reach and Cherry Picker experience. This facility has stricter English language requirements.
Pay Rate: $23.00/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday (or 4 days x 10 hours) | 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (Reach ONLY) or 7:00 AM-5:30 PM (Reach + Cherry Picker REQUIRED)
Employment Type: Temporary-to-Permanent
Conversion: 420 hours or 90 days
Location: Murfreesboro, TN
Language: English proficiency required (stricter than Apple/NHS)
Background Check: Theft, Violence, Drugs screened
Equipment: CROWN Reach Forklift required;
Reach + Cherry Picker required for 10-hour/replant shift
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate Crown Reach forklift equipment as assigned
- Move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise according to client directives
- Support replant department operations using Reach and Cherry Picker equipment (10-hour shift only)
- Move product to replant areas and organize high-bay storage locations as directed
- Complete pre-shift equipment inspections and report defects to supervision
- Ensure accurate inventory movement and cycle count participation
- Maintain safe speeds and safe operating distances at all times
- Adhere to all Geodis safety standards and PPE requirements
- Minimum 6 months verifiable Reach forklift (Crown) experience required
- Cherry Picker experience required for 10-hour/replant schedule assignment
- Sufficient English language proficiency to follow instructions and communicate with supervision
- Ability to pass Geodis equipment safety assessment
- Strong spatial awareness and ability to work in a high-rack, high-volume environment
- Reliable transportation; willingness to work Monday-Friday (or 4-day/10-hour rotation)
- Must pass criminal background check (theft, violence, drug offences screened)
