• Perform in-home measurements and installations of our custom window treatment product lines; primarily roller/solar shades, Roman shades, drapery, wooden blinds, and more.
• Learn motorization installation and programming techniques (particularly via Lutron) for complex motorized products.
• Provide customers with a world class experience throughout each measure and install appointment.
• Demonstrate product use to customers before leaving the job site.
• Use The Shade Store’s Measure + Install techniques and software systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with local Design Consultants to deliver a seamless end-to-end experience.
• Communicate and partner regularly with Headquarters Measure & Install support teams while in the field.
• Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective solutions to measurement and installation challenges.

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Experience in carpentry, custom installation, or a transferable skilled trade.
• Significant experience with hand and power tools, including power drill, impact driver, laser measurer.
• Experience with various fasteners, anchors, and drill bits.
• Proven ability to measure accurately within 1/8” using manual and laser measurers.
• Strong customer service and in-home service experience preferred.
• Strong spoken and written communication skills.
• Punctual, reliable, with a great work ethic and highest integrity.
• Strong understanding of basic to advanced technology with computers, mobile devices, and tablets.
• Active driver’s license and insurable.
• Ability to lift minimum 55 pounds and climb ladders up to 26’ height.
• Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States; will be confirmed by E-Verify within three business days of hire date.
