- Work independently performing preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Utilize leading‑edge technology and programs (PM with voice application, Noregon diagnostics, Uptake predictive analytics, TAAS).
- Work on diverse fleet equipment: automobiles, trucks (light and heavy), vans, forklifts.
- Perform advanced diagnostics across OE platforms (Volvo, International, Freightliner, Maxon, electric vehicles, material handling equipment).
- Carry out high‑level repairs: engine, driveline, after‑treatment & emissions, safety systems.
- Adapt and build capability for alternative‑fuel applications (electric, CNG, B100).
- Diagnose failures, disassemble, repair, reassemble parts as necessary.
- Maintain documentation and records (vehicle records, pre‑trip checklists).
- Answer service calls.
- Adhere to all safety standards and procedures.
- Support operations of one of the largest fleets in North America.
- Own basic hand tools (diagnostic, ergonomic, high‑tech equipment provided).
- At least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a forklift driving skills test (if applicable).
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds (with or without accommodation).
- Experience or training with hydraulic and air brake systems.
- Experience performing after‑treatment and emissions repairs (class 6‑8 diesel).
- Experience performing driveline repairs (class 6‑8 diesel).
- Experience using diagnostic platforms (Noregon, Snap On, Nexiq, Altel, etc.).
- Removing and replacing mounted wheels to torque specs.
- Utilizing diagnostic troubleshooting codes.
- Parts management and inventory controls.
- Working under limited supervision.
- Using shop tools (engine hoists, welding, tire changes, small tools).
- Preventive maintenance programs.
- Computer proficiency (iPad, desktops, laptops).
- Repairing forklifts (propane, electrical, battery, hydraulic, pallet jacks).
- Working with manufacturing standard manuals and OEM support tools.
- Repairing heavy‑duty equipment (class 6‑8 trucks, brakes, tires, engines, liftgates, heater units).
- Gas/diesel automotive repair.
- Engine repairs (class 6‑8 diesel).
- Safety systems repairs.
- Brake certification.
- ASE Electrical, Heavy Duty, Suspension certifications.
- ASE, MAC, or Military AC certification.
- Class A/B CDL and truck driving experience.
- Light truck repairs (EV, gas‑diesel, vans, support vehicles).
- Shift work availability (on‑call, 24/7, 2nd/3rd shift).
- Hot work/Welding certification and welding experience.
