Position Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for executing various tasks related to timely and accurate shipping and receiving, maintaining inventory, fulfilling orders, approval and payment of invoices, and coordination of billing through Accounts Payable. This role may also be responsible for the daily oversight, scheduling and task assignments of other current or future warehouse employees. The Supervisor will work closely with the Fourteen Foods Operations management team and various support departments to ensure requests are fulfilled and outstanding service is provided at all times.
EssentialFunctions Functional Objectives (65%)
- Maintain optimal layout for products for quick picking, packing, and shipping
- Organize, prioritize, and fulfill orders to ensure store delivery is timely and accurate
- Maintain inventory levels and tracking mechanisms for products on hand
- Perform routine full inventory counts of all products in the warehouse
- Maintain shipping/mailing accounts, postage, products (i.e. boxes)
- Skilled at occasionally operating a pallet jack
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse
- Maintain accurate fulfillment log and coordinate billing with Accounts Payable
- Support store requests for needed items
- Work with support departments to maximize shipping efficiencies and reduce shipping expenses
- Work with operations management to achieve warehouse objectives, budget, etc.
- Schedule and track warehouse team members’ hours for proper coverage and manage daily workflow
- Guide and support warehouse team members, ensuring organizational goals are achieved efficiently and effectively
- Train and coach new warehouse team members, evaluate performance, and support Operations Support team with resolving issues.
- Communicate warehouse needs, provide feedback, and foster a positive work environment.
- Basic computer skill and working knowledge of Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Knowledge of basic data entry procedures and spreadsheet management
- Ability to communicate via email, telephone and in-person professionally and effectively while delivering outstanding customer service
- Ability to multi-task
- Organization and prioritization
- Product sourcing
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic mathematical abilities (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, spreadsheets)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel and data entry)
- H.S. Diploma required
- 3+ years warehouse, shipping & receiving and/or order fulfillment experience
- Inventory management
- Prior experience leading/supervising teams is a plus
