D. Camp Community College is a small 2‑year college in Southeast Virginia. Campuses are located in Franklin and Suffolk. There also is a center in Smithfield. The college offers associate degrees, certificates, and career studies certificates in transfer and career/technical programs; credit and non‑credit workforce services and training for businesses and industries; special interest classes for the community; and summer classes for youth through the Regional Workforce Development Center.
A dual enrollment program for high school students, online courses, and developmental studies classes are available at the college as well.

- Minimum of a master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with 18 graduate semester hours in an Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
- Ability to design and implement curricula that align elements of student learning to the student’s educational goals.
- Ability to develop and adapt teaching and learning strategies to accommodate traditional and non‑traditional students with diverse backgrounds and varied academic competencies.
- Knowledge of methods to effectively teach online.
- Ability to use various technologies for communication, organization of data and course materials, presentations, etc.
- Ability to use formative and summative assessment measures to evaluate and enhance student learning.
- Experience with proven teaching strategies that promote student success.
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, for group presentations or one‑on‑one settings.
- Commitment to stay current and continually improve knowledge and understanding of the teaching discipline.
- Online teaching certification.
- Online teaching experience.
- Community college or Four‑year college teaching experience.
- Experience with alternative delivery methods to include online delivery, hybrid and hyflex course options, content software, web‑enhancements, etc.
- Willingness to incorporate AI into education.
- Experience with incorporating technology into education.
