Job Title
Certified Medical Assistant – Contract Opportunity in Franklin, WI
Estimated PayEstimated min rate: $20.00 per hour. Estimated max rate: $25.00 per hour.
Contract Hours7:30 am–5:00 pm, 4 days; one day 7:30 am–11:00 am.
LocationsFloat between clinics in Franklin and Milwaukee.
Responsibilities- Interview patients, measure vital signs and record information on charts.
- Prepare treatment rooms and patients for examination.
- Clean and sterilize instruments.
- Inventory and order medical supplies and materials.
- Operate electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests.
- Give injections or treatments and perform routine laboratory tests.
- Schedule appointments and make follow‑up phone calls to patients.
- Perform administrative tasks, complete company and OSHA regulated forms, and provide front‑desk assistance.
- Key data into computer to maintain clinic and patient records.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- National certification in Medical Assisting or certificate/diploma from an accredited program with a hands‑on externship completed and passed; online courses only are not acceptable. Required certifications: NHA, AAMA, CCMA, NCMA.
- CPR (BLS for healthcare provider/professional rescuer) with hands‑on evaluation; online courses only are not acceptable; must meet American Heart Association (AHA) standards.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong professionalism.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and EPIC applications strongly preferred.
- Availability Monday through Friday.
- Current tuberculosis (TB) test.
- Weekends and holidays off.
