DESCRIPTION Primary Function:
Primarily responsible for maintaining accurate data within MTech, creating feed deliveries, and supervising dispatchers in order to achieve the most efficient and effective deliveries in a safe manner. Also responsible for compliance with all company policies, FSMA regulation, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations. Responsible for reviewing daily production activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

Oversee and effectively manage feed mill’s dispatchers.

Work with feed haul contractors to ensure prompt and accurate feed deliveries and returns.

Supervise and train employees: leading by example, providing direction, and fostering communication while administering corrective and disciplinary actions on a consistent basis.

Build and maintain effective employee relationships.

Supervise, setup, assist and control loading, delivery and pickup of feed.

Enforce safety and quality policies and procedures to improve overall quality of operations.

Assist growers, technicians, representatives and drivers with issues related to delivery and pickup of feed.

Communicate with growers ensuring accurate feed request orders.

Create feed orders and dispatch orders utilizing computer software system.

Reconcile and file feed invoices.
• Work with contracted feed haulers to pick up unused feed in a timely manner.
• Accept calls on radio/phone from drivers regarding farm inventories and orders.

Update and ensure accuracy of truck logs, tracking feed deliveries and pickups.

Track feed deliveries and pickups.

Comply with all company, FSMA regulations, and local, state and federal laws and regulations.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Minimum Skill Levels and Work Experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or G.E.D-Good Communication skills.
3 years clerical and/or dispatch experience.
1-2 years of supervisory experience.

General knowledge of CDL equipment and DOT regulations preferred.

Basic computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Applications.

MUST have knowledge of basic accounting principles (debits, credits, etc).Manages multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and prioritizes work accordingly.

Ability to read, understand and interpret data and draw logical conclusions based on the available inputs.

Applies critical thinking skills in standardized situations as well as non-routine problems.

Preferred Skill Levels and Work Experience Knowledge of Feed Mill Operations strongly preferred
