Maintenance Planning Leader
The Maintenance Planning is an integral part of the Mill's operations. This position is responsible for work order planning, and the improvement of the Manufacturing Work Systems (MWS) process at the mill. This position's goal is to reduce costs, increase productivity, continuously evaluating efficiency and effectiveness of job completion, act as a change agent to drive the right MWS behaviors that link directly to our reliability strategy.
This position will report directly to the Mill Maintenance Manager. Department Maintenance Planners will report directly to this position.
Key Accountabilities
- Improve maintenance workforce effectiveness by eliminating potential for delays and obstacles through proper planning and coordination of parts, equipment and personnel.
- Establish and maintain consistent and disciplined planning processes in all areas of the Mill.
- MWS and Global Management System Element Champion
- CMMS Champion
- Lead effective shutdown management processes and is responsible for the results.
- Manages area planners to provide quality planning for the mill area departments
- Demonstrated personal commitment to safety and creating a proactive and caring culture
- Ensures mill adherence to the principles of MWS
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop direct reports
- Ensures accurate and complete use of CMMS Databases – knowledge of CMMS is preferred
- Ensures that a consistent scheduling and shutdown process is in place and used
- Manage costs to budget/input in budgeting process
- Develops competencies of Planners and establishes clear expectations for planning work
- Responsible for the portion of availability as it applies to shutdown management and failures
- Ensures a high degree of quality, safety and discipline utilized in preparation and execution of maintenance work
- Manages on-site General Presence Contractors & Repurposers
- Assist as needed in mill emergency situations
About You:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Previous experience with SAP or CMMS systems, and Microsoft project - required
- BS in Engineering with or equivalent manufacturing/maintenance experience
- 5+ years paper manufacturing experience preferred
- 3+ years supervisory experience preferred
- Strong skills demonstrated in leadership, engagement, and safety management systems
- Proficiency in basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook): such as the ability to create presentations, proposals, managing budgets/reports, etc.
