Position Title:

Maintenance Planning Leader

Pay Rate: PL14 – $121,300 to $148,300. Eligibility and final placement within the pay range are based on individual experience, skills and abilities.

About The Role:

The Maintenance Planning function is an integral part of the Mill’s operations. This role is responsible for work order planning and the improvement of the Manufacturing Work Systems (MWS) process. The goal is to reduce costs, increase productivity, and continuously evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of job completion. The role acts as a change agent to drive MWS behaviors that support the reliability strategy and reports to the Mill Maintenance Manager with department Maintenance Planners reporting to this position.

Responsibilities
  • Improve maintenance workforce effectiveness by eliminating delays and obstacles through planning and coordination of parts, equipment, and personnel.
  • Establish and maintain consistent and disciplined planning processes across the Mill.
  • Lead MWS and Global Management System Element Champion activities.
  • CMMS Champion and ensure accurate use of CMMS databases (knowledge preferred).
  • Lead effective shutdown management processes and be accountable for results.
  • Direct and develop area planners to provide quality planning for mill area departments.
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety and foster a proactive, caring culture.
  • Ensure adherence to MWS principles and a consistent scheduling and shutdown process.
  • Manage costs within budget and contribute to budgeting processes.
  • Develop planner competencies and establish clear expectations for planning work.
  • Contribute to availability during shutdowns and manage failures accordingly.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and discipline in maintenance work preparation and execution.
  • Manage on-site General Presence Contractors & Repurposers.
  • Assist in mill emergency situations as needed.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience with SAP or CMMS systems and Microsoft Project – required.
  • BS in Engineering or equivalent manufacturing/maintenance experience.
  • 5+ years of paper manufacturing experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, engagement, and safety management systems skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to create presentations, proposals, and manage budgets/reports.
