Senior accountant

Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 per year

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a collaborative finance team supporting a complex manufacturing environment. This individual will play a key role in the month-end close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and continuous process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles along with significant hands‑on experience utilizing SAP ERP, including SAP S/4

HANA, to support financial operations and reporting.

• Perform month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Prepare accurate financial reports while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and support financial statement preparation.
• Utilize SAP ERP (FI/CO) and SAP S/4
  
  HANA to process transactions, analyze financial data, and generate reporting.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to improve financial processes and maximize ERP functionality.
• Assist with SAP system enhancements, upgrades, testing, and ongoing optimization efforts.
• Support internal and external audit requests by preparing schedules and required documentation.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
• Recommend and implement process improvements that strengthen internal controls and increase operational efficiency.
• Develop standardized procedures and identify opportunities to automate recurring accounting functions within SAP.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Five or more years of progressive accounting experience.
• Demonstrated expertise working within SAP ERP, including SAP FI/CO, with SAP S/4
  
  HANA experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month‑end close.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• CPA or CMA designation.
• Manufacturing or industrial accounting experience.
• Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, or financial systems enhancements.

• Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting best practices.
• Extensive experience utilizing SAP S/4
  
  HANA for accounting and financial reporting functions.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
