JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant, Non-exempt
JOB SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Administrative Assistant is a detailed professional responsible for aiding in the efficient day-to-day operations of the Clinical team for Dr. Edwards and providing full administrative support to the team Surgery Scheduler.
Primary Responsibilities- Schedules ESI procedures at the Surgery Center or MOSH.
- Informs patients of instructions, such as fasting guidelines, medication restrictions (e.g., pausing blood thinners), and required transportation arrangements.
- Ensures all scheduling details are filled out on the surgery orders and are sent/received by the facilities.
- Updates the surgical packet for the next day for the provider with add-ons (to include last office note, testing and previous op notes).
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Able to be organized and prioritize work efficiently. High ability to multi-task.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Windows, Excel and Word.
- Know the definitions of fundamental computer terms related to applications software and desktop PCs.
- Know how to manage electronic files.
- Know how to print electronic documents and reports.
- Able to read, write and communicate in English.
- Have cognitive skills for math, decision making and excellent communication skills.
- Work in a temperature-controlled environment.
- Potential for contact with chemicals, blood borne pathogens, and exposure to infectious disease.
Job Type: PT, 20 hours a week
Schedule- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
