Job Overview
Yaskawa is searching for an OEM Business Development Engineer. The role will execute projects related to the integration of VFDs into OEM products and conduct business development functions reporting to the OEM Manager.
ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will provide technical guidance and support to OEM customers and internal teams on VFD integration, application and performance. They will work closely with OEM customers, sales teams, and engineering departments to understand project requirements and ensure alignment. The role will prepare technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and manuals, for VFD integration and OEM projects. On the Business Development side, the engineer will conduct market research to identify potential customers, industry trends, and competitors and develop strategies to penetrate new markets and expand existing ones.
Additionally, the role is responsible for providing technical expertise and support to customers and internal team, addressing technical inquiries and troubleshooting issues, reporting on sales performance, and executing special projects as assigned.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, and possesses the skills to handle a project engineering role within the industrial automation, OEM manufacturing, or electrical engineering sectors. They should have a general understanding of VFDs, their applications, and integration into OEM equipment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
