Overview
This Controls Project Engineer role is aimed at someone deeply involved in custom automation for 7+ years who can own a project from controls design through debug, startup, commissioning, and support. The ideal candidate is a senior controls engineer with strong PLC and HMI programming experience, solid electrical controls design skills, AutoCAD experience, and a background in automated assembly equipment or factory automation.
Allen-Bradley is preferred;
Siemens is a plus.
- Own and drive projects from controls design through debug, startup, commissioning, and ongoing support.
- 7+ years of deep involvement in custom automation and controls projects.
- Senior controls engineer with strong PLC and HMI programming experience.
- Solid electrical controls design skills and AutoCAD experience.
- Background in automated assembly equipment or factory automation.
- PLC languages: ladder logic preferred; structured text, function block, sequential function chart, and Visual Basic experience.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley is preferred;
Siemens is a plus. - Strong customer-facing and supplier-facing communication skills.
