Position Title: Financial Analyst

Wage: Based on Experience

We are partnering with a highly regarded manufacturing company in Franklin, WI to staff a Financial Analyst position. This full‑time, direct hire role, reporting to the Accounting Manager, will support cost accounting operations, New Product Development (NPD) financials, and monthly close activities. This role plays a critical part in understanding production costs, analyzing variances, and supporting data‑driven decision‑making across Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.

The Financial Analyst will work closely with finance and management leaders and contribute to the financial success of new and existing products. A hybrid work schedule is offered.

Financial Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present financial analyses for new product development projects
  • Prepare monthly close journal entries related to production activities
  • Review labor capacity entries and investigate variances
  • Accrue Work in Process (WIP) and Labor & Overhead (LOH) for open production orders
  • Review Purchase Price Variance (PPV) activity and prepare summary reports for Supply Chain, Executive Team, and Board review
  • Analyze production account variances versus budget and collaborate with Operations to resolve issues
  • Perform assigned balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Develop and maintain standard costs for all inventory items
  • Partner with Operations to recommend updates to cost routings for new or modified manufacturing processes
  • Review and analyze variances related to Released Production Orders (RPOs)
  • Collect and analyze data related to materials, labor, freight, and inventory costs
  • Establish freight costs to be added to raw material costs
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in costing processes
  • Perform inventory‑related account reconciliations
  • Provide general financial support across the Finance team as needed
Requirements for Financial Analyst:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 4+ years of related accounting or financial analysis experience
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt in a fast‑paced, changing environment
