* Work Schedule:

**   (3rd shift) 7 days on 7 days off, Wednesday - Tuesday with rotating holidays. 9:00pm - 7:00am OR 10:00pm - 8:00am.

* Job Responsibilities:

*
* + Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria

+ Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures

+ Monitor,operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality

+ Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisionsregardingtesting and problem solving.

+ Prepare,testand evaluate new reagents or controls

+ Reportaccurateandtimelytest resultsin order todeliver quality patient care

+ Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures

+ Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary

+ Assist with processing of specimens when needed

+ Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

* Minimum Qualifications:

*
* + Associate's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology

* Preferred Qualifications:

*
* + 1 year or moreofclinical laboratory testing experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

+ 1 year or more of experience as a MLT generalist

+ ASCP or AMT certification

* + In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirement

+ Familiarity with laboratory information systems

+ Ability to work independently and within a team environment

+ Proficient with computers

+ Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

+ Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
