Overview

Quad is seeking a full-time Recycling Technician at our Franklin, WI facility. Our 250,000 sq. ft. plant serves a diverse range of clients, offering Sheetfed offset, narrow-web flexo, die cutting, and custom folding/gluing with advanced inline quality control systems. We are a marketing experience company that helps brands connect with consumers across online and offline channels, supported by a data-driven technology foundation.

The team operates in a large, multinational environment with a focus on packaging, including local breweries, grocery stores, yogurt producers, automotive part suppliers, and battery brands.

We have shift options available at Franklin, WI:
Sunday-Thursday Third Shift, 9 PM–5 AM.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate materials to be recycled within the plant using a forklift or tugger.
  • Remove recyclables from around the plant and deposit them into the recycling system.
  • Operate the baling and shredding system.
  • Separate and store various grades of recyclables for shipment.
  • Load semi-truck trailers and rail cars.
  • Complete basic forms for billing and service orders.
  • Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
  • Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.

Overtime is always a possibility, but never guaranteed. Wages start between $18.00 - $21.00 / hour or more based on relevant work experience and stability with work history.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be able to accurately complete billing and shipping forms.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read and write; good verbal and written comprehension.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize job needs.
  • Ability to lift 10-15 pounds continuously and up to 50 pounds, occasionally.
  • Daytime hours, working 40 hours per week.
  • Must be able to climb ladders above 12 feet high with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior forklift or heavy machinery operation is preferred, but Quad is willing to train the right candidate.

The actual rate of pay offered will vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime and shift differentials.
