Job Description:
Join a dynamic team as a Manufacturing Estimator, where you will play a crucial role in interpreting customer RFQs and machining and welding drawings to determine the scope and requirements. You will develop detailed cost estimates using internal data and supplier quotes, ensuring that all estimates are complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
- Interpret customer RFQs, machining, and welding drawings to determine scope and requirements.
- Develop detailed cost estimates using internal data and supplier quotes.
- Complete and maintain cost sheets for each quote and quote revisions.
- Coordinate with suppliers to obtain pricing for materials, subcontracted services, and components.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and purchasing teams to ensure accurate and feasible estimates.
- Maintain organized records of quotes, the quote log, and supporting documentation.
- Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating within a manufacturing environment, preferably involving machining, welding, and assembly processes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications including GD&T.
- Experience with ERP systems;
Epicor ERP E10 is a plus. - Familiarity with CAD software;
Solid Works experience is a plus. - Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Working knowledge of computers and business software (Microsoft Office, Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tasks.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as turning, milling, cylindrical grinding, hobbing, broaching, MIG, and TIG welding.
- Experience with blueprint and estimation in a contract manufacturing setting.
Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, WI.
Pay and BenefitsPay range for this position is $60,000.00 – $75,000.00. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
