How You’ll Make An Impact

As an Automation Technician
, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving the reliability, performance, and advancement of automated manufacturing systems. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life.

In This Role, You Will
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automated production equipment to minimize downtime and maintain operational excellence.
  • Assemble, wire, test, and debug new automation and manufacturing equipment.
  • Support the design, fabrication, commissioning, and implementation of automation solutions that improve productivity and quality.
  • Inspect equipment and tooling to identify improvement opportunities and proactively address performance issues.
  • Maintain critical spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of essential components.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Train manufacturing support employees and Process Technicians on the operation and basic troubleshooting of automated equipment.
  • Track, analyze, and report equipment utilization, efficiency, and reliability metrics.
  • Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble tooling, fixtures, and production equipment as required.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, safety requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) within a medical device manufacturing environment.
  • Support 5S and lean manufacturing initiatives while contributing to safety, quality, productivity, scrap reduction, and continuous improvement goals.
Required Qualifications That Enable Your Success
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus completion of a two-year technical degree or associate degree in mechanical, electrical, electronics, servo, pneumatic systems, or a related technical discipline.
  • Three or more years of hands-on experience in automation maintenance, equipment repair, manufacturing automation, or a related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experience building, testing, commissioning, and supporting automated production equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of pneumatic and electrical control systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, electronic, servo, and pneumatic systems.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to train and support others.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining a high level of accountability, integrity, and adaptability.

  • Standing, walking, or operating equipment for extended periods
  • Working in a lab or manufacturing setting with appropriate PPE provided
  • Use of computers and digital tools in an office or hybrid environment
  • Occasional lifting or movement of materials
  • Adherence to rigorous safety protocols and ergonomic standards
