Compensation
At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $,283. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training.
This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Are you passionate about Manufacturing Engineering? The Manager – Manufacturing Engineering provides leadership for manufacturing engineering activities that support production operations within assigned value streams. This role is responsible for improving manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling to support safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
This leader coordinates with Value Stream leadership, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Continuous Improvement teams to drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance. The Manager leads initiatives that strengthen manufacturing capability, reduce process variation, and support operational performance aligned with S&C's Lean Performance System. May support a domestic US and international Manufacturing Engineering team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing Engineering Leadership: Supervise a team of Manufacturing Engineers supporting an assigned value stream. Establish engineering standards, manufacturing processes, and best practices to support consistent and scalable production. Provide technical leadership to address manufacturing challenges impacting production performance. Support manufacturing engineering priorities with value stream objectives and operational performance goals. Foster a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. Demonstrate leadership through regular floor presence, assisting with line troubleshooting, coaching engineers in real time, and ensuring that engineering decisions are data-driven.
- Value Stream Support: Coordinate with Value Stream Managers and Operations leaders to support daily production performance and operational stability. Provide engineering support to address production constraints, equipment issues, and process variation. Ensure manufacturing processes support safe, repeatable, and reliable production performance.
- Continuous Improvement and Lean Performance System: Support process improvements aligned with S&C's Lean Performance System and value stream performance objectives. Use SQDC performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and support operational decision-making. Supervise initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and strengthen manufacturing capability. Support root cause analysis and corrective action for production issues and process variation.
- Manufacturing Process Development: Lead the development, implementation, documentation, and improvement of manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and work methods. Ensure manufacturing processes support product quality, throughout, and operational efficiency. Partner with Product Engineering and Quality to ensure manufacturability and production readiness for new products and product changes.
- Quality and Performance Improvement: Support initiatives that reduce cost of poor quality (COPQ) and improve manufacturing performance metrics. Partner with Quality to address MRB/NMR activity and implement corrective actions that improve process capability and product quality. Drive improvements in key operational metrics, including DPU, OOB, and first pass yield.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Product Engineering, and Continuous Improvement teams to strengthen manufacturing performance across value stream. Support initiatives that improve labor efficiency, production throughout, and operational reliability.
