LTL​/Overhaul Packer

• Identify materials and match them to the correct crate, pallet, work order, or shipment
• Measure, pack, brace, and secure generator parts, overhaul components, and other materials for shipment
• Use foam, strapping, foil, shrink wrap, blocking, and other packing materials to protect products during transportation
• Build crates and pallets according to BoxCAD plans, specifications, and customer requirements
• Prepare shipments in accordance with LTL carrier, domestic, and international shipping requirements
• Verify part numbers, quantities, dimensions, and weights against packing lists, work orders, and shipping documentation
• Apply shipping labels, identification tags, export markings, and other required shipment documentation
• Inspect completed packaging, crates, and pallets to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with company standards
• Operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment as authorized
• Assist with loading and unloading freight while ensuring proper weight distribution and load securement
• Complete required paperwork, production records, packing records, equipment inspections, and shipping documentation
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and report any safety or maintenance concerns
• Identify and report damaged, missing, or non-conforming materials
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Assist with training new packers when assigned
• Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and PPE requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in crating, packing, woodworking, manufacturing, shipping, or industrial packaging preferred
• Experience with LTL shipping, export packing, or freight preparation preferred
• Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, material handling equipment, and packaging methods
• Ability to read measurements, packing specifications, and perform basic math calculations
• Familiarity with packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping documentation preferred
• Ability to safely position, package, and secure materials for transport
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards
• Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods

2:30pm - 10:30pm (Monday - Friday)
