Licensure or Certifications
- MA:
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within
45 day sunless department leader has determined it is not required. - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices

- GED or HS Equivalency Diploma.
- MA:
Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years. - LPN:
Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing
Schedule:
32hrs/week, Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 8:30am-5pm, Friday 7:30am-4pm with Wednesdays off.
As a
Medical Assistant/LPN
,you’llplay a vital roleinthe care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.
As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will:
- Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
- Prepare patients for exams andassistproviders during procedures.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
- Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
- Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.

The family practice clinic at 4202 W Oakwood Park Ct in Franklin (Aurora Family Medicine) is a comprehensive, patient-centered primary care clinic serving individuals and families across all ages:
- Full-spectrum primary care: Provides preventive services (annual exams, vaccinations), routine care, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
- All-ages care model: Family medicine providers care for children, adults, and seniors, supporting continuity across the lifespan.
- Chronic disease management: Treats conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, asthma, and more, with coordinated long-term care.
- Whole-person approach: Includes mental/behavioral health, lifestyle counseling, and preventive screenings.
- Coordinated care: Refers to and collaborates with specialists within the broader Aurora network as needed.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twistfrequentlythroughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
- Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch withabilityto use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
- Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
- Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must bewornas necessary.
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
- Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
- Additional department specific physical requirements may beidentifiedfor unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.
