Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Occupational Health & Safety
Manager, Environmental Health & Safety
The Manager, Environmental Health & Safety will manage EHS programs across the plant, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations. They provide safety reports, develop corrective action plans, lead staff, and foster a safety culture.
Responsibilities- Establish and drive site-specific Health and Safety programs.
- Partner with Quality, Sanitation, and Maintenance to align EHS objectives.
- Provide guidance on regulatory compliance and hazard prevention.
- Conduct operational hazard assessments, recommend controls and corrective actions.
- Train personnel on OSHA mandatory training, first-aid, and hazard-specific training.
- Lead injury management and response, handle Workers’ Compensation claims.
- Champion safety culture, facilitate safety committees, and engage employees.
- Manage local S&H staff, contribute to site leadership team, implement integrated business safety plan.
- 24/7 availability for EHS guidance.
- Change leadership and influence across organization.
- Multi-project management, prioritizing initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Cross‑functional collaboration across departments.
- Risk management – assess, mitigate environmental, health, safety risks.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, federal regulations.
- Provide training and development opportunities.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics for continuous improvement.
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum 5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety and Environmental Management, Industrial Hygiene or a related field.
- Experience in food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods.
- Certifications:
ASP or CSP. - Knowledge of OSHA and other EHS regulations.
- Proven experience with risk assessments, incident investigations, and emergency response planning.
- Attention to detail, analytical skills, and strong communication.
The role involves office and plant floor settings with exposure to industrial noise, forklift traffic, moving mechanical parts, and temperature extremes.
Compensation & BenefitsBase salary range: $102,900 – $141,500, depending on location and experience. Benefits begin on day one and include medical, dental, disability, AD&D, life insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and more. Additional compensation may be provided.
