Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase organizational and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Hourly pay rate: $14.50 – $16.50 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
- Paid training, delivered through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom modules.
- Part‑time employees (≤30 hours) may access voluntary benefits such as dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity and minimum essential coverage (preventive care).
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- Part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours: 8 – 10 hours.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
- Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Use the Hallmark mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor inventory of Hallmark products. Engage with store employees, management, and customers professionally and courteously. Manage the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores. - Holiday support:
Provide additional days and extended hours during holiday periods (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas). May be required to work on the actual holiday, including weekends. - Department resets:
Participate in installations, fixture building, relocation of card departments, and resetting card sections. Receive notification at least two weeks in advance; assignments may require evenings or weekends. - Team collaboration:
Support other merchandisers as needed across the field network.
Physical demands include pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, working on the sales floor and back stockrooms. Requires kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, and climbing stairs or ladders regularly.
Basic Qualifications- At least 18 years of age.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Able to lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Capable of operating a digital hand‑held device to read documents and interpret information.
- Has Wi‑Fi and internet access.
- Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
