Salary and Schedule Details- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $14.50 - $16.50 per hour depending on your skills and experience.
- Paid training is provided through live, hands‑on instruction as well as virtual classroom training.
- Part‑time employees are eligible for voluntary benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- Variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours: 8‑10 hours per week.
- Availability required the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
- Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
You will perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers.
The position consists of three major components:
- Day‑to‑day engagement: Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products using a mobile device provided by Hallmark. Communicate with supervisors, report time, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising surveys. Interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
- Holiday support: Provide additional support during holiday seasons such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. May be required to work on the holidays themselves, including weekends.
- Department resets: Assist with installations and other tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Notification typically occurs two weeks in advance; assignments may include evenings or weekends.
- Team collaboration: Support other merchandisers in the field organization during their territories as needed.
This job requires a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the sales floor as well as in back stockrooms. You must be able to consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day, and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.
BasicQualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Ability to lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to operate a digital hand‑held device to open, read documents, and interpret information.
- Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the Internet.
- Access to consistent transportation for travel to assigned stores.
Part‑time employees scheduled less than 30 hours per week have access to voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage (preventive care).
